Different scientific environments (GW communities, Medical Science, Engineering, Telecommunications..etc.) use the same techniques of signal processing. In this workshop we want to put in contact scientists with different backgrounds to exchange ideas and learn new techniques. The worskhop is addressed at young researchers, PhD students and anyone wishing to update their knowledge of signal processing.

NOTE: A certificate of attendance at the workshop will be provided to each participant who will have completed the three-day training. Any special requirement (for instance, need for a copy of such certificate for the home institution) has to be requested in advance by email to Severine Perus (severine.perus@ego-ego.it). To reach the EGO site: By plane Many international locations and domestic airports are connected to the Galileo Galilei International Airport, with direct flights. To reach EGO from the airport (a drive of about 15 km), the easiest is to hire a taxi (for about 25-30 euros) by calling at +39 050 541600 and ask the driver to be brought to EGO Virgo at Cascina. If you prefer renting a car, several car rental companies are operating at the airport. To reach then EGO, follow the expressway in the direction towards Florence, leave it at Navacchio and join the route SS206 following the instructions below (by car coming from Pisa) By train Stop at the Central station of Pisa (Pisa Centrale) which is on the railway line connecting Rome and Genoa as well as on the line connecting Leghorn (Livorno) to Florence. Alternatively EGO can be reached by stopping at the railway station of Pontedera, also on the line connecting Leghorn (Livorno) to Florence. From both train stations you should hire a taxi to EGO (at Pontedera, it might be useful to remind the driver that EGO is located in the Commune of Cascina, località "Santo Stefano di Macerata"). By car Coming from Pisa, follow the road SS206 (also known as "via Emilia"), pass the traffic lights of Arnaccio, and after about 1 km, turn left when you find the indication EGO VIRGO towards Grecciano. Be careful: a straight but very uneven paved road drives you to the EGO site for about 3 km. or Coming from the north with the A12 highway Genova-Livorno, exit at Collesalvetti and follow then the direction towards Pisa. You will reach first, the village of Vicarello and then the National road SS206. After about 2 km, turn right towards a locality named Grecciano on a straight but very uneven paved road. Drive for about 3 km until you find the entrance gate of the EGO-Virgo site. or From Florence or Livorno towards Pisa along the express way SGC (known as Fi-Pi-Li, Firenze-Pisa-Livorno): leave the express way at Vicarello-Collesalvetti reaching first, the village of Vicarello, and then the National road SS206. After about 2 km, turn right towards a locality named Grecciano on a straight but very uneven paved road. Drive for about 3 km until you find the entrance gate of the EGO-Virgo site.
