The workshop will be held on Thursday April 23, 2015 in Cascina. It will be open to all the LVC members and the astronomer partners involved in LIGO-Virgo electromagnetic follow up program.
The workshop aims at discussing  the plans to send out alerts during the first LIGO-Virgo observing runs (in particular the next one, O1). The program of the workshop will include: the status of the advanced detectors, an overview of the low-latency transient searches and the definition, generation and transmission of gravitational wave alerts. Partner astronomers will have the possibility to illustrate the status of their projects to follow up gravitational wave candidates.  A large part of the workshop will be devoted to open discussion.
